Abstract

In his article, the author proves that Soviet Russia, due to the monstrous crisis that hit the Soviet republics in the first post-revolution years, had to develop a gigantic provocation mechanism which was used to eliminate internal opposition and protect the state against the risk of an intervention war waged by Western powers. and limitrophy states. Provocation, as a key element of ensuring the internal and external security of the state, was taken over by the Bolsheviks from the tsarist apparatus of coercion, which for several decades used it to maintain the status quo of decaying tsarist reign.
