Abstract

This paper presents a new design of compact coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed patch antenna for UWB operation. The shape of the patch is obtained by choosing the six different parameters of the closed form superformula, resulting in a circular patch with sawtooth-like circumference. Simulation results demonstrate that the derived antenna operates in the FCC band (3.1–10.6 GHz) for UWB operation.
