Background subtraction has been used for moving target detection in the paper, and the background selection updating method is approved. The background is updated by real-time updating and replacement mode so that the adaptability of background subtraction for environment is improved. And the edge detection for extracting the target contour is used convenient for detecting the shape of moving target and location, and then moving target recognition is realized.
