Abstract

This article presents design and implementations of cavity based band-pass filter with capacitive feed to implement external coupling. Normalized external coupling bandwidth is analyzed, calculated and plotted with equation. Only 3D EM simulation tool is used for simulations. Examinations are carried out for an X band frequency with fBW < 6.5% and VSWR >1.26:1. Measured results of proposed filter are found in good agreement with the simulation response.
