Abstract

In this paper, a compact design of a five-stub microstrip coupler with significantly reduced overall dimensions has been investigated. To reduce the size, an artificial transmission line was used, with equivalent characteristics at a central operating frequency of 1000 MHz and in its vicinity, with the characteristics of an even-wave-length segment.
