Abstract

The 1,500 kW organic Rankine cycle heat recovery system at the Heidelberger Zement AG Plant in Lengfurt is the first of such systems supplied to the cement industry. This nonpolluting power plant recovers the unused heat available from the grate cooler and generates electricity on a continuous basis without interfering with the core, clinker production process.
