Abstract
KevinAnderson is Director of the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research, University of East Anglia and University of Manchester, UK. Professor Anderson is Director of both the wider Tyndall Centre in addition to the Tyndall Centre’s Energy Programme, with responsibility for both supervising discrete research projects and integrating the group’s broad range of projects to provide a systems-orientated perspective of energy. Previously, he worked in a similar research management position in the Centre for Aviation, Transport and the Environment, and was lead researcher in the UK component of a major EU project into sustainable domestic energy futures to 2050. He has 12 years of industrial experience, principally in the petrochemical industry, the last eight years of which were spent in industry managing large energy-related construction and commissioning projects. With its specific remit for policy and stakeholder engagement, directing Tyndall’s Energy Programme has led to a considerable degree of high-level policy advice being provided to the various tiers of government in the UK and within the wider EU.
