Abstract

A novel wide passband frequency selective surface (FSS) design operating at 15 GHz with a -3dB bandwidth of 5.6 GHz is proposed in this study. As the proposed FSS design is symmetric structure, it shows good angle stability characteristic under different EM incident angles. The equivalent circuit is provided to explain the working principle of the design. The proposed FSS design is a good candidate for radome.
