Abstract

This paper discusses the concept information literacy, its role in higher education and the importance associated with information literacy in times of recent global health pandemic. Information is taking a new form each day and is continuously evolving with the changing world. People should become aware and make informed choices as a user of information. The use of information literacy helps an individual to recognize when information is required, how it can be located, evaluated and used productively.
