Abstract
In our previous work, we showed how to employ a single image defogging method by using a parallel SIMD architecture on a System on Chips (SoC). In this work, owing to improvements of hardware, we provide an update to this implementation with more optimization steps. In this article we also present a fog detection capability by using a simple fog metric.
