The strategy of development of educational programs connected with IT in the regional educational institutions

Abstract

The development of the digital economy is closely related to the training of IT specialists. The paper presents the views of the authors, who are the heads of IT educational programs, on some features of the educational process development: emphasis on analytical work, orientation on skills demanded by the digital economy, vectors of education. On the basis of the presented SWOT analysis, the main provisions of the development strategy for the regional IT institutions were formulated. These includes enhancing their role in the life of the region, active interaction with professional associations of employers or participation in their organization in the region, usage of individual training programs, focusing on national and international professional standards, strengthening of skills related to the economy, management, networking with other universities.
