Methodologically, this is a basic and objective research, and the used approach was the qualitative. In terms of strategy, the option was the field survey and in the data collection process, the bibliographical, documentary and interviews was the techniques. As the results was observed that at the organization there is, still, a certain tendency for more operational secretariat work. However, in the analysis of the data, an information bias was verified, which needs to be considered, since, it reveals that some of the mentioned competences fit the contemporary profile of the secretary, which includes competencies for a more strategic performance. As conclusion, the secretarial competences directly influence the daily activities of ENGIE Brasil Energia's secretariats.","PeriodicalId":304875,"journal":{"name":"Intern. Journal of Profess. Bus. Abstract

Contemporary organizations are increasingly valuing the individual competencies of their employees, since, associated with other resources, it contribute to achieving the goals defined by the company. In this perspective, this study aims to analyze how the secretarial competences influence the executive secretariat performance at ENGIE Brasil Energia.
