Therefore, efficient and secure authentication by the remote server of the legitimacy of mobile devices has become a research focus in wireless networks. This paper devises a secure and efficient anonymous user authentication and key agreement protocol for global mobility networks users employing bilinear pairing, which has the features of lower computational cost and communication overhead while providing strong user anonymity, and the mutual authentication and key agreement phase requires two handshakes. The details of each phase of our protocol are given. Security analysis demonstrates that our protocol is robust to resist various threats.
