Transport for London: success despite Westminster?

Abstract

A book reviewing overall transport policy in Britain since 1997, with each chapter by specialist authors. My London chapter examines trends in the capital, with particular reference to changes in institutional structure (elected Mayor, GLA, etc.), the very strong growth in bus use, impacts of congestion charging, and the Underground PPP.
