According to different mathematical modelling and analysis methods, the existed control methods are divided into four categories. Then all types of inhibitory mechanism are analyzed and compared. The comparison can help us more clearly understand the general approach to the research of selfish behavior and is conducive to engineering development in the selection of suitable inhibitory mechanisms. Abstract
