Abstract

Modern defense and space systems need wideband antennas suitable for multi frequency operating bands. Two strip fed pentagonal boundary patch antennas, one with V-shaped slits and another with V-shaped slits and a pentagon slot is proposed in this paper. Both the antennas exhibit wideband characteristics covering wide range of frequencies from 2-6GHz.
