Abstract
Two different types of substituted Li-ferrites have been sintered by microwave technique and the effects of this sintering on the various properties were investigated. Microwave sintering which is completed within very short period yielded samples with comparable structural parameters as those obtained with long hours of conventional sintering. Microwave sintered samples showed increase in the value of saturation magnetization, coercivity and RT d. c. resistivity. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss were found to be reduced. The temperature dependence of dielectric properties was less significant in the sample sintered by microwave sintering.
