Abstract
This study aims to find out how the application of health technology-based applications supports the management of children's health, whether carried out by the patients themselves or their parents. The method used is a systematic review by searching articles through online databases including: PubMed, Science Direct, Ebsco, Sage Publication, Cochrane Library-Cochrane Reviews, Embase, CINAHL, Clinical Key Nursing. The results showed that the use of health technology-based applications had an effect on increasing self-confidence, controlling disease conditions, competency and knowledge levels, parental self-efficacy in caring for children, increasing medication adherence and improving children's quality of life. In addition, the effectiveness of time and materials is also a positive impact from the use of health technology. In conclusion, health technology-based applications are found to have a positive influence or effect that supports parents (caregivers) in carrying out health management for children properly. Increased self-confidence, self-efficacy, knowledge and competence of parents in caring for children will accelerate the transition of parents in caring for children at home. The development of health technology that is broader and specific to childhood disease conditions can improve the quality of life of children and also parents as providers of care at home. The use of health technology for the population of children with special needs, including having congenital diseases, also really needs to be studied further.
