Abstract

In automated vehicles, drivers will shift their attention between side activities and tasks relevant for vehicle control. As random interruptions lead to performance degradation and are a source of stress/anxiety, use of pervasive attentive user interfaces could mitigate such effects while maintaining comfort and safety.
