Experiences with hipo and other documentation techniques(Tutorial and Panel Discussion)

Abstract

EDP professionals are becoming increasingly concerned with documentation - both in large and small facilities - and problems which are caused by poor or zero documentation. Several techniques are currently available that effect more efficient if not easier documentation of systems, programming, operations and procedures. Within the framework of the presentation and the following panel discussion some of these techniques - HIPO, WYLBUR, and word processing - will be described, clarified, and critiqued. The following pages offer a summary of the presentation and the specific viewpoint each of the panelists will present and discuss.
