Abstract
The FlexRay protocol is becoming the standard protocol for in-car communications systems. Therefore, there's great effort in searching for a reliable and fast method to model and analyze the performance of the FlexRay bus. The last work regarding this topic was presented in the paper "Performance Analysis of FlexRay-based systems using Real-Time Calculus, Revisited", where the authors claimed to solve this problem using Real-Time Calculus. The main contribution of this paper is to discuss the reliability of the existing algorithm as well as the use of the Real-Time Calculus.
