Abstract

This research explores the use of grid resource broker as a high-level solution for the grid resource management system in a hierarchical cluster grid environment to process medical imaging data. There are two components to the Multi-Instance Broker which are the Self-Adaptive Multi-Instance Broker Manager and the Broker Instance entity. The Manager is adaptive through its self-determination of the number of instances with the assistance of the Grid Information Service. The Broker Instance entity generates the broker instances determined by the Manager and implements scheduler properties.
