Abstract
The main parameters of glow discharge burning mode that affect the heating process of welded parts during diffusion welding are described in this work. The main control actions and their influence on the thermal energy characteristics of thenormal DC glow discharge are determined. It was established that the main control actions that characterize the mode of the heating and welding processess by the glow discharge are the discharge current (Id), which determines the total power released in the discharge gap, and the gas pressure (P), which changes the specific energy characteristics of the discharge. The technical means of control of the glow discharge main parameters (Id, P) during diffusion welding have been developed, which provide the regulation of the discharge current within 1…10 A and gas pressures in the discharge chamber from 1.33 to 13.3 kPa.
