Abstract
This research mainly aimed to identify the impact of technical, financial and communication determinants on the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of workers in the extension centers in Sohag governorate by achieving the following subobjectives: determining the degree of respondents’ knowledge of the objectives of the agricultural extension centers, determining the degree of respondents’ knowledge of the importance of the agricultural extension centers, and identifying the degree of impact The technical, financial and communication determinants on the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of the workers in the extension centers for the extension tasks, and the identification of the correlation between the degree of influence of the studied determinants on the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of the workers in the extension centers for the extension tasks, and between the studied independent variables. The research was conducted on a comprehensive of 38 respondents, who are the total number of agricultural extension agents and extension materials specialists working in the extension centers in Sohag Governorate. The arithmetic mean, Pearson's simple correlation coefficient and chi-square were used, using the SPSS statistical software package. The most important results obtained are as follows: (i) The results showed that half of the respondents (50%) have high knowledge of the goals of the counseling centers, that (34.21%) have medium knowledge and that (13.15%) of the respondents have low knowledge, and that (2.63%) of the respondents have no knowledge goals of counseling centres. (ii) It was found that the percentage of those with a high level of knowledge about the importance of the counseling centers reached (60.53%), and that the percentage of (26.31%) was for those with a medium level of knowledge, while the percentage of those with a low level of knowledge about the importance of the counseling centers reached (13.16%). (iii) The efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of the workers in the extension centers for the extension tasks is affected by a number of determinants, as each of the technical determinants had a high impact of (84.21%), and each of the financial determinants and the communication determinants had a high impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of the workers in the extension centers for the extension missions, which amounted to a rate of (97.36%).
