Abstract

The pandemic caused by COVID-19 is already a worldwide catastrophe. It has caused an unprecedented crisis in contemporary history, which also requires a response from mental health clinicians and researchers. In this article, the authors clarify some concepts in the field of psychological trauma involved in this context. In response to the mental impact of this pandemic, atutorial including a psychological support strategy is contemplated, with emphasis on the psychopathology resulting from stress and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
