Abstract

An improved method of signal to noise ratio (SNR) estimation is proposed in this paper to solve the unknown SNR when extracted the angle measurements for two unresolved targets in monopulse radar. A signal processor with high sampling rate is necessary to the target returns. Special samples are selected to estimate the SNR according to the detection results of two unresolved targets.
