A total digital position servo system was established by imple-menting the vector control algorithm in the DSP controller. The travel curve of the breaker could be controlled by controlling the movement of the motor. Abstract

This paper investigated a new type of operating mechanism in which the high voltage circuit breaker (HVCB) is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). This type of mechanism has high reliability due to its simple mechani-cal structure. In addition, the operating process of the mechanism is controllable. In this paper, the control technique of PMSM was introduced. A simulation model of the motor control system was established in MATLAB/Simulink.
