Abstract
In Uruguay there has been a sustained growth of immigrants from non-bordering Latin American countries, in recent years. One third of these immigrants are children and adolescents. This figure highlights the need for public policies, and especially educational policy, to address and promote genuine school inclusion for this population. Intervening on this reality is complex since it implies the design of a comprehensive intervention strategy that respects your rights and enriches intercultural dialogue. This implies a challenge because it not only requires having public resources but including this issue in the agenda to put it into practice.
