Abstract
In this paper we present a data warehouse system for an integrated and knowledge-based structural health monitoring of wind turbine. The system has been developed in the context of an interdisciplinary research, MikE, for feasibility study of applying knowledge-based methods towards proactive monitoring of wind energy plants. The goal of the system is to integrate the data collected from the computer facing the sensors and store it in a centralized data warehouse to enable researchers to share common data repository. This in-house developed system enables the study of interdependence of variables that is not realistic in online monitoring. It also enables integrated access for multiple researchers/users synchronously. We built prototype system that collects and integrates data, visualizes data, analyses and presents the processed information in a usable form for supporting decision making activities.
