Abstract
With the geological field mapping in the tunnel, a process can be implemented that transfers observations into data structures that can be further used in the BIM. If corresponding standards are available, the information can also be universally exchanged. This means that the soil model can be carried along throughout the entire life cycle of the structure and the soil can be made available without restriction as part of the digital twin of the structure in operation, extension and deconstruction phases. With the building ground model, complex geological facts can be visualized clearly.
