Abstract
The results of experimental studies of the complex dielectric permittivity (CDP) of river sand and powders of the melted quartz granules with narrow ranges of particle sizes in the frequency range from 10 kHz to 20 GHz are presented. Samples were moistened with distilled water and NaCl salt solution with a conductivity to 0,77 S/m. It is shown that with a decrease in particle size, an increase in the values of the real part of the CDP and the specific electrical conductivity of the samples at frequencies below 1 MHz. The effect of particle shapes (sand or granules) with close values of the average sizes is manifested only when the samples are moistened with distilled water and also at frequencies below 1 MHz.
