Abstract

Agriculture acquires a substantial role in the economic development and employment of every nation. Ever increasing population of the world and the depletion of agriculture provide great concern among the expert community to enhance crop production by implementing advanced techniques such as precise agriculture. Soil fertility estimation and crop recommendation are key concepts involved in increasing food production as the yield of the crops directly depends on the soil fertility and the best quality crop. Hence, in this research, a survey on the existing prediction models is performed to reveal the significance of crop yield prediction, which is the aim of this research article. The advantages and drawbacks of the existing techniques are analyzed to provide an effective organic farming experience.
