Abstract

As obesity is the epidemic of the 21st century and has become a major public health problem worldwide, being responsible for the vast majority of chronic diseases, a prospective convenience study was carried out on the effect of low-carb and low-calorie diets in people with overweight and/or obesity, at the Centro Hospitalar Universitário do Algarve (CHUA), Portimão unit, at the external nutrition appointment.
