Linear Dynamic System Approximation Using Logarithmic Inverse Distance Measure and Factor Division Algorithm

Abstract

A collective approach of Logarithmic Inverse Distance Measure (LDIM) and factor division algorithm is suggested to approximate a higher order model. The proposed model approximation technique is simple, efficient, easy to implement and promises the stability of the higher order stable model. The suggested technique is successfully validated on some numerical problems of Single-Input Single-Output (SISO) and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems taken from the literature. The performance of the suggested technique is compared with the help of performance keys i.e. Integral Square Error (ISE) and Integral Absolute Error (IAE).
