Abstract

This paper presents the design and experimental analysis of a compact short-range X-band FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar for low height detection in an airborne application. This design can appropriately detect the ground as a target within the altitude of $30\mathrm{~m}$ to $4\mathrm{~m}$ range. As proof, we have designed and developed a miniaturized Xband FMCW radar.
