Abstract

The paper proposes to improve the method of power equalization at secondary windings of a Scott Traction Transformer ac railway power supply systems, which are situated near agricultural holdings, boreholes etc. Active power distribution with help of pulse-width-modulation thyristor bridges with capacitive accumulators permits to almost completely reduce currents and voltages unbalance and non-linearity when traction loads such as high-speed trains may suddenly appear and disappear.
