The research model and hypotheses were validated using PLS-SEM analysis. The results indicate that the higher the innovativeness, proactiveness, risk-taking, and competitive aggressiveness, the lower the likelihood of engineers experiencing ITQ in their current jobs. This study expands the IEO components in predicting engineers' ITQ. It highlights the need for further research and understanding of the roles of IEO, and behavioural expectations of engineers to address talent shortages in the competitive labour market for engineers.\n \nKeywords: individual entrepreneurial orientation; intention to quit; engineers; entrepreneurial orientation theory\neISSN 2514-7528 ©2022.
DOI: https://doi.org/10.21834/jabs.v7i23.416
