Abstract

This paper investigates the problem of integrated operation in the small wind and photovoltaic(PV) energy power generating system. Theoretically, due to the source impedances of the wind generator and solar cell, it is difficult to charge a battery using both wind and solar energy at the same time. In order to optimize both energy sources, a microprocessor-based controller is used to control the charging system.
