Abstract

This work describes the design of an ultrawideband cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna with frequency reconfigurability for cognitive radio applications. Two PIN diode switches are used to achieve frequency reconfigurability. Four alternative configurations of PIN diode switches are used to control the operation of the antenna.
