Abstract

The ceiling fan motors have been most outlooked motors from an efficiency point of view. However, with an increasing number of such motors in residential and commercial sectors, the need for efficient ceiling fans has arisen. The design of the outer rotor single-phase induction motor (SP-IM) for ceiling fan, is a nonlinear problem involving several design variables.
