ABSTRACTThe bourgeoning expansion of lifelong learning and quality in education in every European education system as well as social change over the last decades have led to greater demands on 21st century teacher. Thus, European educational policy acknowledges the importance of conceiving the teacher profile based on a framework with the required professional competencies to face the challenges of the new context and strengthen the teaching profession. La creciente expansion del aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida y la busqueda de la calidad educativa en todos los sistemas educativos europeos, unido al cambio social de las ultimas decadas, supone mayores demandas en el profesorado del siglo XXI.
