Abstract

This paper considers fast and efficient multimedia forking to multiple transcoding modules that are used for media gateway system. We apply IP multicast scheme to support one input multimedia stream to transfer more than one transcoding modules which make has different rated output streams. IP multicast and switching structure is presented and we increase the utilization of transcoding module compared to unicast from one transcoding module to many transcoding modules
