Department of Centrifuges and Dynamic Simulators of Yu.A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center – 50 Years Devoted to Domestic Cosmonautics and Aviation (Part 2).

Abstract

The article describes creation and development of the Department of Centrifuges and Dynamic Simulators in Yu.A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center and gives a chronological review of creation of the centrifuges CF-7 and CF-18 and dynamic simulators based on them. The main characteristics of the centrifuges, as well as the tasks that can be solved using them in the process of training cosmonauts and carrying out research and tests are presented. The article contains memoirs of veterans of the department including Pavlov V.A., Stepanov V.P., Chudinov A.P., Burdin B.V.
