Abstract

This paper examines stability properties of digital filters using saturation arithmetic. A new input state-strict passivity condition for interfered digital filters using saturation arithmetic is proposed. Further, the presented criterion is utilized to get conditions for passivity and state-strict passivity of the system as special cases. The established criterion can also be used to guarantee asymptotic stability of the digital filters with zero external interference.
