Abstract

In this paper, a novel electromagnetic energy selective surface (ESS) is proposed, which can provide the high-power electromagnetic protection and frequency selection adaptively according to the incident power. The ESS structure will be in protection mode under the high power microwave, which can reflect out-of-band wave from 0 to 3.4 GHz. Besides, the ESS will be in transmission mode under the working signals and the surface can be seen as the frequency selection surface (FSS).
