Other forms of auditory deficit, such as auditory processing disorder, have rarely been considered in the assessment of patients with moyamoya disease. A case of central auditory processing disorder is presented in a 26-year-old female of Chinese ethnicity with moyamoya disease. The patient had bilateral, near-normal hearing thresholds and normal immittance audiometry results. However, she displayed poor speech perception in noise and her results for other auditory processing tasks were markedly abnormal.
