By means of mathematical modeling, studies of the impact of gear drive mechanical vibrations on the electric instantaneous power of an induction drive motor were carried out. Abstract

Any electromechanical system can experience vibrations due to electromagnetic or mechanical factors and the fact negatively affects the performance and durability of the system. Modern vibration diagnostics systems are used for early prediction of malfunctions in electromechanical equipment. They are sometimes economically impractical. It is proposed to study the instantaneous electrical power of the engine to assess the mechanical vibrations of the electromechanical complex. A geared drive of a cooling tower fan is taken as an electromechanical complex, as mechanical vibrations arise there caused by the imbalance of the shaft.
