Abstract
Employee green behavior (EGB) has emerged as an important topic in organizational behavior research. There is greater public awareness of environmental concerns, such as the impact of poor waste management, rising CO2 levels, and sustainable consumer products. In response, more organizations have implemented environmental policies that require green behaviors from employees. EGB refers to both in- and extra-role employee behaviors in the workplace. Although a substantial body of research has examined various antecedents of EGB, few studies have examined the role of individual green values as a predictor of EGB. Therefore, this paper proposes a model linking individual green values and EGB. A review of the literature to support the proposed linkage is presented.
