Analysis of the level of concentration and competitiveness of fishing, fish farming and reindeer husbandry enterprises in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation

Abstract

This article attempts to assess the competitiveness’ level of the traditional industries’ markets in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The study is based on the amount of revenue of organizations of fishing, fish processing, reindeer husbandry and processing of deer meat. The analysis of the level of con-centration and competitiveness of fishingand reindeer husbandry enterprises allowed to identify regions where there is monopolization of the industry and to identify the pattern of enterprises’concentration on the size of the market.
