Abstract
This paper deals with the speed control of asymmetrical dual three-phase induction machines by using an inner loop of Predictive Current Control based on the Model (MBPC). The MBPC is obtained from the mathematical model of the drive, using a state-space representation, where the two states variables are the stator and rotor currents, respectively. In electrical drive applications, the rotor current is a non-measured parameter, so it is estimated using a reduced order estimator based on a Luenberger observer. Finally, simulation results are provided to examine the efficiency of the proposed control algorithm.
